The dungeon is back on the table for my work. I posted the progress of it so far... Anyways, the hardest part about it was that the segments didn't mesh well together once I tried placing them. I had to go back and make a few new models for that... mainly a wall segment of just a wall and nothing more.
Anyways, ed has been having trouble with his PC and as such, has been unable to finish scripting in the abilites for the fighter class. So, I've been working on a new damage formula and some mage skills in the meantime instead of working on this. Good news, Ed's PC is back in working order and we'll have a true public alpha test in a couple of days... all we're waiting on are: Item Icons, Crypt to be completed, and finally: The figher abilities...
I'll be adding in the monster spawns to the maps we currently have, and scripting in a small vendor so that players of the alpha will be able to obtain the basic items.... Hopefully, if I finish the crypt ahead of schedual, than I should be able to work on some mage abilities before alpha, but the scout will have to wait... there is alot that would go into scripting some of his abilities... mainly because of the fact the scout is intended to be a ranged class and requires a whole new and different attack script to be functional.
We're still looking for someone to provide ambient sounds and some music for the zones, if you're interested please let me know... I really hope that some of you guys would be interested in trying the alpha when its ready, and hopefully will stick around for the beta.
Indy games can't compete with huge development heavy games such as WoW, but hopefully my game will still be as fun without the $15.99 a month pricetag.
